Nice to meet you!

Hey there, I’m Kendal! I have been a professional photographer for about nine years now, but I have always loved being behind the camera—taking pictures of friends and competitive cheer. I have a degree in photography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and storytelling through images has always been my passion. My goal is to create timeless memories through photographs, capturing all the little details and emotions that make each moment special. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with preserving memories, and getting to do that for others is something I truly love!

A Few Fun Facts

I went to UNC Charlotte for photography (I love shooting with UNCC seniors and being back on campus!!)

Favorite sports teams:

Buffalo Bills! (Go bills), + Cheer Athletics (pretty bias I cheered there :))

Buffalo is my second home. If I am not in Charlotte, I am usually in Buffalo. We are also huge Buffalo Bills fans over here.

Favorite Season

Spring is my favorite season. I love all the colors when everything blooms, and it's warm enough but not hot out.

I am like a plant, I loveeeee sunlight lol. Weather its golden hour during photoshoots, tanning in the summer, or the brightest room in the house.

Favorite Hobbies

I love working out. I weight lift most often, but also love a good pilates class and walk outside (only when it's warm lol). I also love reading and anything crafty related!

Business Fun Fact...

The extra E on the end of Mariee is for my last name 😜 Most people have never picked this up and wonder why Mariee is spelled wrong 😂

My Photography Journey

Photography seems to run in my family just a little bit. My papa was into photography; he had his own darkroom in his basement where he would process all his film and print the photos. But it’s funny because it wasn’t until a few years after I picked up a camera that I knew he did all this. I started taking pictures in early high school, and it would just be of my friends at the park or around the neighborhood. I was also a competitive cheerleader in high school and would shoot at competitions of my sisters’ team as well as the others in the gym. This is definitely where my love of sports photography came from. Because I loved taking pictures so much, I decided that’s what I wanted to go to school for. This is where I learned film photography, and even more, sports photography, which really started my portrait business, and I worked at a few places shooting product photography. Now here I am, in my own photography business, working for an awesome small business, shooting photos, and still a little obsessed with sports photography.
